Sherley lives for zesty hostels, picturesque mountain towns, and cathartic culinary experiences. Born in Haiti but raised in Jersey, she nurtured her adventurous spirit through time worn books until college, where she finally got a taste of the world’s curiosities through a study abroad program in Morocco. She has since backpacked Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and China. She particularly enjoys activities that make her question "why am I doing this" (e.g. looking for jaguars or volcano boarding) and dreams, rather impatiently, of traveling to Columbia, Indonesia, and returning to Guatemala to hike the good ole volcano of Acatenango. She juggles more than a few aspirations including writing young adult fiction, developing her own taco seasoning, and finding her niche in cultural Anthropology.
